Can I disable to onboard Mic on my Center Cam?

Answer:

The Center Cam comes with a built in Microphone.

The reality is that cameras and mics are not a perfect pairing. For optimal performance, most web cameras should be between 15" - 30" away from your face, while most microphone are designed to be 3"-12" from your mouth. 

Center Cam doesn't have an option to 'disable' the microphone, but this can easily be accomplished through the settings on your computer or video software. Just follow these steps:

Macs:

Go to the System Settings -> Sound -> Input

This is where you can locate the settings to change which microphone is used by the system.

PCs:

Go to Settings -> Sound -> Input 

This is where you can select the microphone that the system uses.
